To: struggle

The suffix “San” was used in both countries, probably due to the long Japanese occupation. I haven’t been in Korea since 1970, so it may no longer be used there. Are there no more papa sans and mama sans? If not, how terrible!

Good question. My student, who is Korean, and in my English class, said they don’t. I had heard of that too, but apparently it doesn’t exist anymore.
