Question please. The Gun free school zone act specifically says permit issued by the state. The permits here are issued by county sheriffs. As far as I know the State doesn’t issue permits.
I had a conversation with the city prosecutor, who was at the house for a dinner party. I told him I didn’t appreciate being a felon every time I passed the middle school on my way to work. He told me I didn’t know what I was talking about. Whatever. Gun Free School Zones are a terrible infringement on my rights. I don’t think the provision is enforced, rarely if ever, but that would sure be a good way to get guns off the streets, and gun owners too.
