Are you one of those Jews who got offended by Seth MacFarlane's "Jews control Hollywood" shtick at the Academy Awards last Sunday night? And do you agree with Anti-Defamation League (ADL) leader Abe Foxman's statement that MacFarlane's attempt at humor was "sad and disheartening" because it "reinforces stereotypes which legitimize anti-Semitism"? Well, I think I can make you feel better. First, this notion of poking fun at Jews has to be looked at in the context of the century-old love affair between Jews and America, and the role of humor in that love affair.
“So, tell me, Rabbi, why does a Jew always answer a question with a question?”
“Vhy shouldn’t a Jew answer a kvestion wid a kvestion?”
Thanks for that - it will be forwarded shortly! ;-)

Which is another reason the ADL should get off it’s PC high horse and focus on serious issues instead of, as the author said, make (us) Jews appear to be humorless and unable to accept criticism or engage in dialogue.
I didn’t watch it, so I don’t care.
I wish that more Jews would accept that they have around them many Gentiles who are their friends, and supporters of Israel as well.
