I don't think so. Boehner has caved many times already and he still got elected to the speakership. How many times have I pondered 'is THIS the time the Republicans will show some backbone' and each time I am disappointed.
Girding for disappointment again:
WI Sen. Ron Johnson warned yesterday that he believes John Boehner would lose his speakership if he caved on higher taxes."I don't quite honestly believe that Speaker Boehner would be speaker if that happens. I think he would lose his speakership," Johnson told FOX News' "Special Report.
Boehner is sending the right signals....again:
Speaker John Boehner reportedly told his colleagues to hold their ground, even as Democrats ramp up their public-relations campaign on the sequester. He told us to stay on offense, says a second GOP member. He wants us to stand up and articulate our position. He encouraged us to talk about the replacement packages that weve already passed, and to not worry about every story in the press.

Go ahead Boehner. Make my day.
They said that before the cave-in on the so-called “fiscal cliff” and he still got re-elected as Speaker.
Call me naive, but I think they will call Bammy’s bluff and hold their ground this time.
I think they know they better.
He'll cave! He's a mega-RINO and a filthy liar!
Stay on offense? When did the Republicans ever get on offense.
To be perfectly honest, I don’t think the Republicans could find anyone else to take the job.
The Democrats are in lockstep with Obama. Not one of those supposed Americans will oppose anything he does, while half the republicans are getting in line behind them.
Who would want to run for Speaker when his own party does not back him up and when half of the republican Senators vote Democrat.
Question is, will the Republican Party have the testicular fortitude to boot Boehner from the Speakers role
I don't think so. Makes me glad I'm a CONSERVATIVE and not a Republican. Republican's are woosies. At least we CONSERVATIVES have convictions and stick to 'em!
Your are naive. We are batting 0 for 10000000. No reason to believe this will change.
Johnson is correct (if Boehner caves on taxes now). This will be the end of the Boner Speakership. It’ll just take a while. Until Jan ‘15, when Speaker Pelosi takes over. And nothing will happen in the next two years in the House because everybody knows he’s a dead man walking.
He’s already a dumb man walking. What is wrong with these people? I mean really, what is wrong with them?
Boner, grow a spine, for cryin’ out loud!
We lose a hell of a lot more.
And job loss , or conservative anger does not seem to be a real big threat to our current overlords.
I think the Senator meant to say, “if he caves on taxes again”. What has Boehner ever done since he’s been Speaker that would give anyone the slightest hope that he would hold his ground against the Marxist in Chief?
So how did Johnson vote on Hagel and Kerry?
Speaker John Boehner reportedly told his colleagues to hold their ground, even as Democrats ramp up their public-relations campaign on the sequester. He told us to stay on offense, says a second GOP member.
Boner/Boehner is like 0 for 20, in standing up against 0dumb0shit, but this time Boner REALLY REALLY REALLY means it! Until he caves in of course. Any euphoria or optimism I had following the Nov 2010 elections has long since dissipated. I give him till the middle of next week before he caves....and he will cave, no doubt about that. I wish we could trade him for Nanzi Pelosi. Someone with a pair of balls in comparison to the eunuch Boner/Boehner.
Lets give this gutless RINO a real reason to Cry....Fire Him.
