As Zeugma said Trouble is, it's completely disconnected from any reality.

The money they force from us in the name of "social security" is just another tax.

The supreme court has ruled on several separate occasions that you have no interest in the money collected from you in social security.

If you did, you could pass it on as a part of your estate. You've been lied to by politicians. (surprise!)

The correct way would have been the singapore way - the money you put aside for retirement goes into your own pot. But SS, Medicare etc. aren't like that -- the government found a way to increase taxes by lying (well they always do that)
