How did you even get served? Last two times I tried to eat at Olive Garden I didn’t get served. First time at least we got drinks. I think 20-30 minutes for a server to come to the table is too long to wait. I don’t know how long it was going to take but I know how long I was willing to give them a chance.
Red Lobster? Gag me with a spoon. Expensive food with absolutely no atmosphere. Well unless you call screaming kids atmosphere.
If Longhorn is anything like those two restaurants then that is on my no dine list also.
In general, I find when out with the kids in those chains, they torment us... by being slow.
With children at 7 & 5 there is a window of opportunity to get in, get food on the table, and get out before the kids get restless.
Every one of them...Applebee’s to Red Robin, Olive Garden and Longhorn, it seems that there is no care taken to get these families in, seated and served in a reasonable time frame. The kids are always bouncing off the walls by the time any food comes, and they are simply unmanageable after 60 minutes in a restaurant.
There is a local place we go, where the owner knows us now, and we are seated and there is something on the table for the kids to nibble on, within minutes of being seated. We order, and the food comes we begin eating and the bill is on the table, we pay it and we are out of there in 30-45 minutes. No trying to up-sell us on deserts or whatever.
It makes going out....a pleasure instead of a nightmare like Olive Garden, Longhorn, Red Lobster, and even Red Robin.
