I think it helps when assessing Lincoln’s policy to put it in the context of what he was up against. A comparison of Lincoln’s treatment of suspected bridge burners in Maryland and Confederate treatment of suspected bridge burners in East Tennessee is very much in Lincoln’s favor.
That's a good point and I agree.. and what we today are up against is Obama's drug-addled brain. :)
