There is a small town named La Réunion between Bordeaux and Toulouse in Western France.
Maybe this is what they mean?
Certainly don’t consider myself ‘geography challenged’ smart alec, but I think you are right.
I check EVERYTHING in my posts, but a quick Google search yesterday pulled up a small island with the same name in France proper.
She’s also ‘Miss Reunion’ so I doubt they’d make such a fuss if it weren’t the former colony off Africa

Some of the pix have her looking a little thin, but in some -like top one at my blog, with the pink dress- she looks pretty curvy... hmmm

Yeah, I noticed that her face at the top looks a bit too chubby for the rest of her to be a skeleton!
