They will. That’s why they were made to seem so attractive in the first place. At the very least, they will be used in “means testing”. You just thought you were providing for “your” retirement
They’ll kick the can and resort to the all-too-popular: Print more money.
There is a very simple fix to this particular program - emulate Guliani when he took over NYC.
When he looked at the welfare rolls, he required everyone on welfare to show up and reapply. Costs dropped by 30%.

Only one problem — We have Obama as President. He WANTS to expand the welfare rolls. These people are natural constituents.

Social Security is zero $ in my retirement plan.
I have always viewed it as just a tax with no return.
As I said upthread, anyone who actually THINKS he/she will get SS is a fool.
