Well, at least it was his own, did he, during his two terms in office, put the country on the path of unsustainable debt?

Today, we probably could have paid off his personal debts by just giving several speeches a year (SEE: Clinton, Bill)

Jefferson was right about alot, but also naive when it came to the French Revolution.
