I’m in. What’re we doin ?
Who’s bringing the beer?
I should have elaborated on that one some more :
These capitol crowds (Not really a protest, I would say) are being completely neutered by the organizers to NOT come armed.
Showing up at a state house with a weapon, en-masse is certainly a threat. You betcha. But without it, these people aren’t getting the hint.
Are we showing up with rifles ? Are we going to actually make the statement that all of our rights are off the table ?
Are we finally going to show teeth ? I attended two rallies this past week, and was absolutely incensed that the reps there simply DO NOT CARE. No one came to a window, many of them just played Solitaire during proceedings, or surfed the web, or tweeted about dumb they thought I (we) am (are).
Absolutely infuriated now. Completely disgusted by the media coverage that a handful of anti-gunners received over the thousands of Patriots who missed work, traveled far, and spoke their minds in a calm manner.
That day I will be doing what I do everyday. Supporting businesses that I agree with, who supply me accessories, firearms and magazines. I plan on spending the day doing another HK mag hunt.
Oh, and I also plan on sharing my good results with everyone that I can, at no profit. I have a list of folks who can’t get the things that they need. I will gladly do my part to make sure they have what they need.
Also time to start planning the garden. Because people seem to have lost sight that the Dollar is still doing it’s spiraling nose-dive into a volcano.
At a recent townhall meeting, my congressman said there was no chance of current proposals even coming to a vote in either the senate or congress, as there are too many democrats from pro-gun districts that would be committing political suicide if they voted for it. However, that won't prevent Obama from pursuing gun banning through the UN (the day after the election he petitioned the UN to re-open hearings on the small arms treaty). Although congress won't be able to overturn resulting UN treaties, the senate has the power to do so. Strong protests may (or may not?) influence senators to reject UN treaty.
