Not totally true because several states are right to work states (Wisconsin just became one) and teachers are not required to join the union.
Your point is much more accurate in regard to colleges and universities - and they are not union controlled. I am not supporting unions at all - they are pond scum. But, the colleges and universities have been Marxist controlled in social studies, history departments, environmental science departments, AND the education departments for nearly 80 years - and this is happening on so-called “Christian” college campus’s as well.
One Marxist professor indoctrinates thousands and thousands of young 20 year olds who graduate with the marxist world-view, who then enter the work force in so many areas of “expertise”.
Public schools certainly are part of the problem, but change the training of the future teachers, and you will change the way teachers teach and what their world views are.
If you want to make inroads to public schools, the colleges and universities MUST be cleared of Marxist profs in all the departments.
Honestly, though, I don’t see any real change because the underlying problem with our nation is sin. It’s what’s inside the person. The only real hope our country has is a God given revival. There is no common view of morality anymore - we have no common foundations anymore. Our institutions have all been inundated by leftwing, anti-Christian bias.
It so permeates our society I don’t see anything short of a miracle changing it. Some talk of revolution, but we couldn’t even agree on a candidate to support against Obama let alone finding common goals to promote in a real revolution. Once violence starts like that, ANYTHING could happen and probably more to the negative than to the positive unless we were very, very, very fortunate.
At some point the 1776 solution will kick in.
Local law enforcement and Federal agencies are conducting "joint task force training" in the deserts of Texas and along the southeast coasts of Florida already! They're flying MH-6 Little Birds and firing blanks from chain guns attached to them.
There exists absolutely NO excuse or reason to warrant these sorts of training exercises, and the fact they are happening should be setting off flashing red sirens in the minds of every American who favors liberty.
It's only a matter of time before FReepers mysteriously stop posting. It'll be one or two of us at first, then large swaths. They're not going to be overt and public about this. They're going to imprison as many of us as possible to start, then go the confiscation route, and eventually they'll "Waco" anyone who's left.
Our only hope is that conservative governors across the US publicly call to muster their respective state militias. Start Committees of Correspondence if you can, and get like-minded Americans together to protect and defend your neighborhoods. Otherwise, it will get to the point of neighbors turning in neighbors for "violations," and we're all going to become subjects akin to the "Observers" in Fringe.
No, it's not bull-. I'm talking about the millions of sleepwalkers, Rooster, not conservative patriots like you and me and many of the people we know who will resist the tyranny.
Look at the Obamatons and the rest of the apathetic and ignorant. That's who I'm talking about.
