X-spurt, I agree about the news of the “big ammo purchases” being upsetting and a tension increaser.

I was quite relieved to read dirtboy’s evaluation; that had been a thought in the back of my mind and am glad he put it out there.

Part of the problem is, we had no basis for comparison for previous ammo purchases by these departments. Without that, it is akin to drawing conclusions from a study without a control group.

But I saw some very rational computations of how that ammo would be used by agents for qualification - and federal agents have to qualify FOUR times a year, from what I read (and what was linked to).

I do not trust government one bit. But I also have learned to take conspiracy news with a grain of salt and to follow it up with my own research and reading. We have to pick the right hills to fight upon.

Dirt is hitting the nail on its head on the actuality.

My thinking is that the “ammo announcements” was just another of nobama’s MO of sort of sound threatening, soft terrorism phyops and then act surprised at the reaction.
