And why should’nt they? EBT shoppers care less about the prices since they are spending your money and mine. More profit potential for Wal-Mart, who is in the business to make profits, not philanthropy or justice. I noticed the same trend at Grocery stores. The EBT shoppers buy $200+ at a time and have their carts loaded and overflowing. We only buy sale items and bargains.

A local hallmark store is going out of business. The owner told me that over the last three years her regular customers and people who live in the affluent areas have significantly cut back. She said, however, that the EBT types are buying as if they have no financial worries. That’s because they don’t....for now.
