“So tell me...do you have a job or savings accounts based in the Philippines or do you rely on income sent monthly from the USA in order for you to live your 1000 dollar a month lifestyle?”
________________________________________________
I do not spend $1000 per month here. I could survive here on NO social security money, and I have a wife and child, and no, I do not have a job here.
How good is life in America for a family of three on $1000 per month?
Many workers here live on a wage of $4 or less, per DAY.
Social Security is obligated to pay back funds that we paid in during our working years, and not dependent on where we live.
They have a very large staff at the US embassy here.
My social security is in my Philippine bank on the forth of each month, like clockwork.
You missed the point....if the USA goes belly up...you aren’t getting any more Social Security deposited into your bank account...will the Philipino’s be so charitable to replace that for you?
Do you own any guns? How’s the hunting there?
“Social Security is obligated...”
No, Social Security is not obligated. The Supreme Court said so years ago. That’s why they call it a “tax” and not an “investment” or “insurance.”
