BOWERS: I think AP U.S. History was one of the strongest memories

I don't remember any AP classes during the mid 70s. Does anyone know when those started?

BOWERS: ...us who are his classmates actually knew him socially, but not the way his tight group does. And, they still do. And, that’s what makes us, just as Americans

Just as Americans? What the heck is that supposed to mean? Is Bowers admitting little Barry isn't American?

BOWERS: I think he really was one of those guys that, you know, so many people really, really liked as a person. And, I think that socially a lot of us were really not very adept at, you know, dating, or things like that.

Gee, Bowers, could you stumble over his sexual preferences any more?

BOWERS: Yes. I mean, especially at Punahou, where athlete scholars are really nurtured and highlighted. He was very proud of that and we were very proud of him for that.

Except even his coach said he stunk.

BOWERS: I especially think that the late 70s in Hawaii, drugs were available and I think whenever you have a private school, where kids might have more access, you’re gonna see more of it.

Geez, Bowers, quit stumbling over the truth.

Yada, yada, global voice, racial struggle, world-view, all of us were born in Hawaii, yada, yada, aloha.

That's the funny part. Barry was the only black guy on his high school varsity team, yet he was no better than 7th . . . not much good for more than a breather for the starters. But he pretends athleticism and is lauded for it in the press.

But who among popular politicians was the star point guard on their high school team and is mocked in the press?

AP American History first started in 1956. I can't tell you when it was first available in Hawaii though.

She remembers his father coming in during 5th grade which was some 40 years ago?
Grade school memories and i’m a few years older than Obama- Being dismissed from school when JFK was shot. Being in a few plays. A fight or 2. Buying my first book Pebble in the Sky by Asimov in second or 3rd grade. Thats it. I bet we had people come in to speak to us too.
