Who gives a Damn about that insignificant amount of chump change when our very Nation’s existence is at stake?
You can’t be serious, right?
Sequestration, the worst case scenario, meant an automatic increase in the debt ceiling coupled with $200b in tax increases and spending cuts per year. It's hard to see the Dems agreeing to anything bigger than sequestration. Meaning that either way (i.e. sequestration or the just-passed bill), the real problem - excessive spending - doesn't get addressed. Whomever becomes Speaker, Obama is still the President and the Dems still have a majority in the Senate. Note also that West lost his district in 2012, meaning his political skills aren't exactly sterling. If he can't win over a district in FL, how is he going to win over the nation's electorate? Ultimately, the people who voted for the politicians who passed the 1965 immigration bill are to blame for this disaster, but its effects aren't reversible at this point.
