“there seems to be different types of metabolism among people,”-—to lose weight limit yourself to less than 50g carbs a day...less than 20g is better but more restrictive. Happily the weight comes off faster at less than 20g carbs so it is for only a short period of time... so that would count out rice..ha

I will cut back because refining the wheat bran does additional nutritional damage but at least the vast majority of refined grains, especially rice, are enriched with B vitamins and iron are added back after processing.
