Congress needs to be reminded of the power of the Tea Party. On Wednesday, December 12th, 2012, TheTeaParty.net will join together with top conservative leaders in Washington D.C. to present over 150,000 individually signed petitions demanding that GOP leaders refuse any proposed tax increase.
The press conference will include Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, Georgia Congressman Paul Broun, TheTeaParty.net, leading Tea Party activist Niger Innis and other conservative leaders....

I don’t just want to be heard, I want at least 16 conservatives to vote
against Bonehead.
God speed.
Right on. Bonehead has to go. It is about time the Tea Party got it's collective ass busy. Didn't hear much during the election and we got King Obama.
Does anyone really think the Boner-led House will do anything but give Obama and the Senate whatever they want?
I dont just want to be heard, I want at least 16 conservatives to vote
against Bonehead.

Besides the Jessie Jackson Jr. seat isn’t there one other that won’t be filled when the House meets in 2013? I think there is only 433 Reps at this time with two missing. Not sure if I’m correct.
If they ever want to have political clout, now is the time to stand together against Boehner.
I thought Rand Paul, reportedly, just said we should let Obama take us over the cliff, to let him own the consequences.
WTH? I’m getting whip lash from all the disparity of ever-changing commentary coming from”our side”.
Lord, deliver us. We are getting played......again. Brace yourself.
Agreed. Boehner has already purged the few who were anywhere near having a little bit of clout. This is more theater, actually ALL theater, until they get Boehner OUT.
Actually, there are still more than 48, since the ones who lost election are still in this Congress.

This is the group to target.
Would you please make some rally posters from my questions?
Here are my three questions for Benghazi-Coward Obama:
1.) Are you HIDING INFORMATION from the US Congress about the Benghazi Massacre?
2.) Have you been LYING to the US Congress, The Media, or the American Public about the Benghazi Massacre?
3.) Were you, as Commander in Chief, GROSSLY NEGLIGENT in your responsibilities to protect and assist those four Americans who subsequently were murdered in the Benghazi Massacre?
Impeach! IMPEACH! IMPEACH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me too. Vote his sorry butt out of the leadership spot.
Aren't patriots aware of the Founding States' division of federal and state government powers evidenced by Section 8 of Article I, Article V and the 10th Amendment of the Constitution?
For example, think of Section 8 as the yellow pages of federal government services. At least in peace time, the only practical federal government service that citizens would need to have their voices heard in DC is for concern about postal services (1.8.7). In other words, given Section 8's silence about services like retirement, healthcare, public schools, etc., the Founding States had made the 10th Amendment to clarify that the above services are all unique state power issues. In fact, Justice John Marshall had officially clarified in general that Congress is actually prohibited from laying taxes in the name of such issues.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
So the misguided Tea Party is arguably empowering Congress to be unconstitutionally big as a consequence of patriots evidently not understanding that many of the powers that Congress has been exercising since the time of Constitution-ignoring socialist FDR are actually 10th Amendment-protected state powers which corrupt Congress has been wrongly usurping from the states.
Patriots need for their voices to be heard in the constitutionally-powerful state legislatures, not the constitutionlly-humbled federal legislature. It's the states that patriots need to be complaining to about out-of-control spending and high taxes to, not the feds. And unlike problems with big federal government, disgruntled citizens can always move to another state.
As a side note, here's my crude estimate as to how much taxes citizens should be paying annually to Congress to perform its Article I, Section 8-limited power duties. Given that the plurality of clauses in Section 8 are defense related, and given that the Department of Defense (DoD) budget for 2011 was $600+ billion dollars, I will generously round the DoD figure up to $1 trillion, but probably much less, as a rough estimate as to how much Section 8 of Article I should be costing taxpayers per year.
In other words, we shouldn't be hearing about multi-trillion dollar federal budgets that the corrupt media, including Fx News, is reporting without including Justice Marshall's clarification of Congress's limited power to lay taxes in public policy discussions.
Agree. Now is the time to make their stand.
