I have been a mechanic for over 4 decades, worked on thousands of cars and trucks.

Abd Dodge does look nice, the Chrysler cars look nice, but I would buy a full sized Ram p/u and slide a Silverado chassis and electrical system under, the Dodge drive train is weak, the electrical system not much changed over the decades and is a mess.

But I love the look of the new Ram, looks like an old Alco PA diesel locomotive, but truck of the year? Must have been some free drugs at THAT meeting.

Car/Truck of the year means is has poor sales and it needs a boost.

“The 2013 Ram 1500 SLT is essentially like driving a Chrysler 300 with a bed.”

Great pickup...if what you really want is a car.

I would agree on the weakness of Dodge drive trains. I’ve been to a few deisel truck pulls in recent years. Fords and Chevys did ok. Seems like every other Dodge truck that pulled broke the drive shaft back at the differential.

Isnt that just a little bit unrealistic?
I use to be a chevy man but I bought a new 3/4 ton 97 powerstroker. It has 230,000 on it and other then two trannys I have been very happy with it.

I always wanted a dodge but I am leary of mechanical issues.

What full sized truck would you buy other then remodling the ram
