I’m very interested in learning about the Chetniks, although not much information seems to be available that likes to dig deeper than Tito’s dubious claims of them being Fascist collaborators.

I wonder if the Chetniks had been backed instead of the Partisans, if Yugoslavia would have joined NATO.

Yugoslavia's royal government, installed by the triumphant Chetniks might very well have joined NATO. Had this happened, and had the Hungarian revolt of 1956 taken place, would the results have been different with a NATO member as Hungary's next-door neighbor?

Go to this site and read about Gen. Mihailovich and the Chetniks...The Serbs were betrayed by the Allies...

And instead of joining NATO, they were bombed by NATO (The US) in the 90s...For fighting to protect territory being invaded...

How the Serbian people remain friendly to the US and The West is beyond me...
