while I personally would still oppose it,

if Obama/Pelosi/Reid were to be honest and only increase taxes on those who genuinely have a million (or billion) dollars of taxable income each year, that proposal would probably pass Congress pretty fast.

they TALK “billionaires and millionaires” but they draft legislation to hike taxes on millions and millions of people earning a mere fraction of that. Including most local or community small businesses (forcing them to slow or stop hiring, or lay off some of their existing workers -— and small business provides something like 70 percent of the jobs).

How many “millions” of times have we heard Obama and Pelosi talk about raising taxes of “millionaires and billionaires” BUT then what they actually propose to enact would hurt far, far, far, far, far, FAR more people than just “millionaires and billionaires.” Many, many more people.

I think the public is getting to really resent politicians lying about what they propose to do to us.

I think the public is getting to really resent politicians lying about what they propose to do to us.

I’d like to think so as well, but the results of the latest election seem to get in the way.
