Americans didn't give a mandate to anyone, and clearly did not give a mandate for socialism. What a bunch of b.s. Yes, there are the selfish self-interested and ignorant who like the idea of the government playing Robinhood on their behalf, but this was a 2% election in favor of an incumbent, with media help and some voter fraud thrown in for good measure. Was 2010 a vote for socialism? Obviously not. Checks and balances don't work unless those elected bring their principles, and the beliefs of those who elected them, to the discussion. You can bet that if the shoe were on the other foot the Democrats wouldn't be falling all over each other to go along with the Republicans.

These are the kinds of people for whom Norquist opened doors. Norquist, said Wolf, served as a key facilitator between Al-Arian, Alamoudi and the White House.
In June 2001, Al-Arian was among the members of the American Muslim Council invited to the White House complex.
The next month, the National Coalition to Protect Political Freedom a civil liberties group headed by Al-Arian gave Norquist an award for his work to abolish the use of secret intelligence evidence in terrorism cases. So lemme guess. To be anti-raising taxes means you support Al Arian? What kind of road apples is this?

... he has also tied the Republican Party to a disastrously self-defeating posture toward Islamic supremacism.I could never understand why anyone put up with this. Now, hopefully, it is over.

The pledges to not raise taxes were not made to Grover Norquist, they were made to the Amerincan people. And the politicians don’t like being held accountable for their votes.
Just for wavering, Chambliss is gone in 2014. Of course the democrats will say, well since you’re leaving anyway, how about a vote for this tax increase etc. Kyl and Hutchison are already trying to screw us on their way out. I’m sure Lugar and Brown and Snowe will join in. They can’t help themselves.

Barack Obama made raising taxes the linchpin of his campaign, and was decisively reelected. He promised to raise taxes on those other guys. Not you, dear reader, no. Those other guys, the ones who aren't paying their fair share.
Of course, once the inevitable happens and your milk goes up at the store, and your brother-in-law loses his job, no one will make the connection.
Rep. Frank Wolf (R-VA) called Norquist out for this on the House floor in October 2011, saying of the anti-tax hero: Documentation shows that he has deep ties to supporters of Hamas and other terrorist organizations that are sworn enemies of the United States and our ally Israel. He pointed out that around the years 2000 and 2001, Mr. Norquists firm represented Abdurahman Alamoudi, who was convicted two years later for his role in a terrorist plot and who is presently serving a 23-year sentence in federal prison.
This is the reason to lose Norquist. He ought never to have been accepted in polite company due to the company he keeps.
Exept for the tax-cut policy, he'd be perfect for a cabinet position in O's administration. It looks to me like Norquist and O serve the same master.

I care more about this country than I do about a 20-year-old pledge, Chambliss thundered piously. If we do it his way, then well continue in debt, and I just have a disagreement with him about that. In other words, there is no chance whatsoever to rein in the ever-galloping growth of government spending, and so Americans are just going to have to pony up more to feed the socialist leviathan. After all, we cant expect that people will perform key services like reading our emails or making sure we arent drinking sugary drinks for free. And Saxby Chambliss, part of the ever spineless, gutless, clueless, directionless, visionless Republican establishment, is going to make sure they are duly remunerated for their service to Big Brother.
Saxby, if you think HIGHER TAXES will help the GOP -- YOU NEED TO GO!!!

Well lets don’t get carried away here. Saxby Chambliss is a card carrying RINO moron who couldn’t find his butt with both hands.
Saxby has attemted to jump on board every cockeyed Liberal POS legislative attempt that comes his way. This will just make it easier to primary him in 2014.
Enjoy the next two years Saxby and try to steal as much money as you can because you are going to be going back to Macon.
