From what I’ve heard, they haven’t even attempted to pump off any of the butane from the butane well nearby. Too expensive. Nevermind, that the chemical brew going on right now could set off something more expensive than anything this nation has ever seen Also, they don’t seem to be very forthcoming to the residents in the area about how serious things are. The Hydrogen sulfide news was kept quite for at least 24 hours after they realized there was an issue. Frankly, I think the people at Bayou corne are sitting on a powder keg, and the salt mind company there doesn’t seem to be the most competent at handling the “burn-offs”. They aren’t there 24/7 for 1.
