ATKINS, Va. - Cabinet maker Merillat is laying off 280 employees at two manufacturing plants in southwest Virginia.

My friend’s son works with two young guys that make custom cabinets in their shop not far from San Antonio. They have enough orders to keep them busy for at least the next two years. Little pricey but excellent workmanship and perfect in every detail.
Lots of folks around me are upgrading their kitchens including switching out the particle board cabinets since it doesn’t look like they will be moving anytime soon.
The Shiloh distributor for my area must have been in Virginia because I clearly remember a Virginia address on the literature, but the website for the same product says Missouri, you’re correct. Nice cabinets either way, semi-custom, meaning you get a wide variety of species, stains, glazes and door/drawer profiles like full custom but don’t pay a custom price because some of the components that are not visible are mass produced. The exterior, howver, is built to order.
