ALL areas have good deals. Want to know who has the BEST deals? Rite-Aid. And guess what? We DON’T have them in Florida. So what we lack, you gain.

To All:

Our local stores only double to $1.00. Here that means if you have a .75 cent coupon, it is only “doubled” to a dollar. Target will allow you to combine their store coupon, and a manufacturer coupon, and I can’t recall the deal they have with doubling. I think it does not apply to the Target coupon, but does to the manuf. coupon - and may only be one day a week for doubling.

Walmart is tricky with their “matching” on other stores sales prices, so you need to learn their rules and always bring the other stores flyer with you because the cashier will not match unless you have the flyer. Walmart customer service has all of the competitors flyers - but won’t do the service of providing them to the cashiers. Walmart never doubles as far as I am aware.

Most stores like that have their coupon policy spelled out on their websites, but some are confusing - so call the local store and get them to clarify any questions BEFORE you get to the store.

I have found that the best coupon deals over the past few years are the non-food items. Soaps, hair care, toothpastes, shaving, vitamins and supplements. Food coupons, cleaning products, etc., have been less than impressive.

We did score a 18 lb. turkey free due to “points” on the shoppers card for one local store. We get points for savings at a local gas station from that same store. Additionally, check for coupons that print up on the back of your grocery receipt.
