As I posted elsewhere, the culture has a different view of government. When in power, take all you can for yourself. You are the law.

That is NOT our system. These people are the political losers in their home countries. Now they are using the SEIU and others to take over our system to turn it into THEIR corrupt system.

You are right. Another issue is PAYING TAXES. Many of these immigrants come from countries where they LAUGH at the prospect of paying taxes. They consider us fools in the U.S. to honestly pay taxes. How will this EVER change?

They may have a great work ethic while here in the U.S. but that may never translate to:

!) honestly paying taxes
2) stopping the money laundering for associates/relatives who have criminal/drug enterprises (using small businesses)
3) honestly using our banking, mortgage and credit card systems

I see this in Florida all around me. MANY (not all):
They don’t use the banks but prefer cash under the table, pawn shops and check cashing services. They think nothing of using false ID’s and information for obtaining mortgages or credit. Many small businesses pop up with no paper/money trail to honestly pay taxes. They play the race card when it comes to honoring HOA regulations or honestly paying HOA dues.

The politically inspired expansion of home ownership brought out this behavior. They would use false information to obtain mortgages, then use false information to receive a home equity loan on their new home. They would take the money and run. You can’t find them because they used false ID’s.

There is NO WAY our current financial institutions or tax-funded government can possibly survive waves of new citizens with this behavior. I am waiting to hear from a politician from any party to explain how they feel this behavior can be changed.

The more you sit back allow fraud of any kind, the more of it you will receive. (voter fraud, tax fraud, benefit fraud, mortgage fraud) We will need a major overhaul of the tax code, benefit allocation systems, and financial institutions to accommodate the inherent behavior of many new immigrants.

It would be wonderful if I was wrong and all new immigrants would assimilate in these areas, but watching the changes directly around me in Florida makes me doubt this possibility.

Hispanics are the conservatives in Mexico, the Mayans and other South and Central American Indians are the Democrat equivalents. Most of the illegals in the USA have little Spanish blood in them. It isn't the northern Mexico Hispanics that are coming in illegally with 3 pesos to their name signing up for welfare, foodstamps, section 8 housing, free medical care, and filling up the jails.

Where someone falls on the political spectrum has a lot to do with where they fall on the bell curve. In Mexico the Hispanics are on the right side of the bell curve, in the USA less so.
