Papa John’s CEO John Shattner told shareholders this week he was going to have to add eleven to fourteen cents per pie to the final cost to the consumer.

The ignorant (m)asses calling for boycotting Papa John's obviously never took an Economics course. Basic Economics 101: all costs of creating, distributing and selling a product are included in the product's sale price. That price also includes profit for the product creator.

So Schnatter (not Shattner) says he's increasing the price of his (crappy) pizza by eleven to fourteen cents? I don't know what that tells anyone else but it tells me he's making his profit on volume sales of his crappy pizza, not quality.

While I support Schnatter's position on this issue, I've had Papa John's pizza once. That was enough for me.

His sauce makes me violently ill, but that's not the point, is it?
