I was looking at guns.com, and they say this Savage Model 320 is modeled after a discontinued Winchester, the 1300. They said the action, trigger, and bluing are A-OK, so this sounds attractive at a price of $169.

I've always said "No way", but I just might find myself in an early morning Wal-Mart line. LOL.

The 1300 may have been discontinued but FN still makes that action in some pretty expensive models.

It does not have the solid feel when racking the action as it locks up much like the ARs. It has multiple lugs on the bolt which turn into recesses in the barrel not in a barrel extension as in the 870 etc.

The system is extremely reliable, maybe even more so than the 870 and that is saying something.
