I read elsewhere that this affair was exposed because Ms. Broadwell made explicit email threats to another woman who works with Gen. Petraeus. This woman was so frightened that she called the FBi to look into it. Certainly this does not look like Ms. Broadwell was “empowered” by her affair. Rather, she became threatening and abusive to other women around Gen. Petraeous. How tacky!
