I can certainly see a lot more people in Texas signing it.

I doubt there’s going to be any serious movement for Texas to secede, though.

If the country stays as it is, then yes, I agree with you. But let us absorb a few more body blows in the form of higher taxes, more layoffs, more business closings, rumblings of gun confiscation, obamacare complete with the Nazi-like IRS in charge of it, a decision to turn to a world currency when the dollar fails, regulation of the internet to shut down sites like this one, regulation of the airwaves to shut down conservative AM radio and FOX news, God forbid another big terrorist attack... all of which are possible if not probable.

A big irreversible reaction on our part can only be justified by a big enough push in the wrong direction. I understand that many people haven't seen yet what they feel warrants that kind of response. We'll have to see what happens and how soon, but in the mean time, I think these are discussions about "what if" that we need to be having.
