Mrs. Dawgg had to do a Security Background check to work for a Government contractor. One of the first questions they asked Her and all her contacts was is there anything in her background she could be pressured about (blackmail) to compromise her position which deals with sensitive government documents.

How in the hell can the Director of the CIA get away with such? I mean WTF?

I’m sure he’ll be conveniently “out of the country” for the next few months while he patches things up with his wife and will be unable to receive a subpoena while gone.

That story by itself doesn’t make sense. If they were blackmailing him, threatening to reveal the affair if he didn’t resign, then why would he resign, and reveal the affair himself, and not testify on top of that? As soon as he revealed the affair, the power of their blackmail vanished, and he would have no reason not to testify. So, I think they must have some other blackmail on him, and the affair story is just his cover for why he is resigning.

Obama's people wanted to get rid of him, and the "scandal" gives them reason to do so. That's my take anyway.

Tell me what you think about this theory, cooked it up myself...Petraeus was summoned to the White Hut, he is told he is going to be fired.

However he is offered a chance to “save face” in a way, not a very good way because Hussein hates the military and America, but Petraeus is told he can lie and say he had an affair and must leave for personal reasons, even though he was in reality just being given the boot by the dictator.

This makes Hussein look like he did not fire Petraeus. It humiliates Petraeus, as Hussein wanted, but it is less so than a public firing for any job related offense that P. would never commit anyway.

Hussein is clearing out any possible patriots.

When I heard of P. “resigning” today I said “Ha, is Vladimir the replacement?!”. (semi-sarcasm on)

The only reason I could accept is that somehow his wife found out and threatened to go public.

Other than that, someone has put pressure on him to resign, (and do so post haste) so that he "might" escape having to testify.

I think your theory is as more plausible than the press story. P may have insisted on resigning over the whole mess, and was blackmailed by Barry into the reason, ie the affair rather than Barry’s abandoning the people.

Perhaps is pension was on the line.

There certainly is something rotten in Denmark that’s for sure.

I am now listening to the late airing (WLS-Chicago) of Mark Levin’s show. He also says something is rotten about this, especially the timing.

He is lambasting CryBaby Boehner now. Good.
