“The minute you pass a law based on your religious beliefs, chances are you have just trampled on my beliefs—or non-beliefs.”

Yet this moron supports Obamacare which forces his “non-beliefs” on the believers. Lying moron!

What the DUmmie doesn't realize is that ALL laws are based on the moral beliefs of the members of a society. Note, I say "moral beliefs," not "religious beliefs." One need not be a Christian to know that murder, robbery, rape, lying in court, etc., are wrong and that we should have laws against those things. Likewise, you need not be a Christian to know that abortion is wrong, that it is the willful taking of an innocent human life that has been begun--you'd just have to look at an ultrasound and use your reason. And you need not be a Christian to know that homosexuality is wrong and unnatural--you'd just have to look at the design of human bodies and think about the propagation of the race.

But those moral beliefs, and any laws based on them, also coincide with the Ten Commandments and with Christian beliefs. (The theological answer for this is that God has written his law on human hearts, Romans 2:14-15.)

But if I tried to impose my specifically RELIGIOUS beliefs on others, then I would make it a law that you have to believe in Jesus Christ and be a member of the Christian church. But nobody is advocating that.
