There is no explanation for what just happened other than that Americans had a clear choice, had plenty of opportunity to recognize that Obama is a liar and they voted for him anyway

I was SHOCKED anyone would vote for Oboma after the terrible job he's done, so I figured there must be something else that appealed to people enough to get them to overlook everything and not vote, or vote for this guy (besides the promise of free candy and kool aid).

It had to be something personal. Their personality. I discovered one very important thing. Romney talked AT people, so he didn't connect personally. It was like watching a business video.
Oboma talked TO people, so they thought he cared about them as individuals (which was a lie, but they fell for it. )

I get what you're saying, but I would rephrase. Because politics shouldn't be about manipulating people via your speaking style, rather it should be about educating them about what you will do, and what the foundational principles behind those intentions are.

If an electorate is in the shape you are assuming - sheep who don't control their own rational response to someone presenting something ... then you only make my point - that the electorate is beyond repair.

So here's how I would rephrase:

In an era of identity and brand politics, where the electorate wishes more to have its eyes closed than opened, Romney wasn't dishonest enough, and not a very good stage hypnotist.
