You are exactly right!!! The voting public is completely ignorant of what the United States of America should be. There is no such thing as "patriotism" among the masses. When I was a kid we had to memorize and recite, "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." In the eighties I was in Boston for a short time and walked part of the Freedom Trail. When I stood in front of the Old North Church I got goosebumps thinking of its history. A few years later, I visited Yorktown and had the same feeling. Today, It would not surprise me if 98 percent of high school kids had even heard of the Old North Church.
We need to completely take over the education system in this country.
