I truly couldn't decide which was better Romney or Obama

Okay, and how do you feel today? If you couldn't decide one way or the other, and voted 3rd party, you can't feel bad because you already knew your candidate would lose and your vote meant nothing. Did voting 3rd party help?    I voted for Romney because of the 2 he was the better choice.

I hope I am not coming across as criticizing your vote, I am not, you voted which way your conscience told you to. I am just sick of watching this country sink further into debt and felt that we had a better chance with Romney.

Actually, I feel fine today. I didn't expect to like the winner, no matter who won.

It probably also helps, that Romney won TN without my vote, so it's not like by voting third party, I helped put Obama back in office. Romney's negatives countered his positives, but I'll admit that with most of FR choosing Romney, there was concern that I was standing in the way of progress even if I couldn't see it in the platforms.

Like you, I'm certainly concerned about the debt. But the right way to fix the debt is to fix the economy. And neither candidate really seemed to have a clue.

Romney would have been better for energy, but then we've increased production despite Obama. And Romney's nuclear plan was a weak 2 year approval for existing sites.

Romney sparked a moment's hope that he would raise tariffs against China, only to bash it with a dependency on China's adherence to the existing rules, and a promise of opening up more free trade with more markets. It was this stance that made me think Romney might actually be worse for America than Obama.

And I usually vote social issues over pocket book, under the theory that if we are morally upright, God will bless us with wisdom on everything else. And that if we are not, it won't matter how brilliant an economic plan we have.

Romney said the right things, but he has a history of saying the right things and doing something else. And the in-congruency when he told the boy scouts to have gay leaders was thunderous.

And then there's the whole issue of putting a non-Christian in a role model position like the Presidency, not that Obama seems any better.

In the end, I'm glad I didn't have to choose between the two. I'm waiting to see if Virgil got enough votes to even get anybody's attention.
