Do WHAT??? We did the best we could in this election. We actually got a candidate who could actually fix the economy, and over half of America rejected him. Now we’re in to four more years of devastation, despair, and total, complete, utter stupidity. Barack Hussein Obama is our president, John Boehner will chain-smoke and cry while he spinelessly acquieses to him, and America will slowly fade into nothing.

There is not a thing Republicans can do until the youth are not being indoctrinated in our shools and colleges to have a liberal mind.

Romney ran a better campaign than I expected but let's face it, in reality the base wanted anybody but Romney. We put every other candidate before Romney only to have them destroyed. The base could not have screamed no more if they had tried at the GOP leadership and were ignored.

You can not win without an excited base. You have to get them first and get them excited and instead the GOP just flipped them off. If you do not learn from history of your own party you are just plain stupid.

Rinos do not win...McCain, Dole and Bush I, but hey let's force another one on the base. North Eastern Liberals are not trusted by the South and Mid West but let's ignore history come on we have plenty Republican North Eastern Liberal Presidents...right. That stupid Christian part of our base that do all that ground work let's make sure to not listen to them.

Sorry but as good a job as Romney did with what he had the GOP forgot the most important things in winning....their base and their history but like usual the leadership knows best.

Yeah, it’s funny, that all of the articles that have tried to explain why the GOP, conservatives, and really, the United States, lost, rest on the argument that the electorate naturally would agree with the conservative position on issues if only the conservatives, spoke louder, or more clearly, or with fewer syllables. “To understand us is to agree with us; if you disagree with us, it is only because you don’t understand us!”

No, I think Thomas Sowell and Mark Steyn have it right, and have been saying so since 2008:

The electorate understands perfectly well what conservatives are saying. THEY REJECT IT. They don’t reject it because the packaging is uninteresting (or “lacks charisma”, as these pundits are writing); they reject it because they LIKE dependency and DISLIKE self-reliance. I know that’s hard to accept because it signifies a truly deep sea change in the “American character” or “sense of life.” But I think it’s here.

In response to the question, “What kind of government have you given us?” Benjamin Franklin famously replied “A republic — if you can keep it!”

Sad day. I believe just over 50% of the American people have finally voted not to keep their republic.

The people re-elected this jerk and are going to have to suffer him another four years. They will get what they deserve. I just don't think there are enough of us conservatives on a national scale.

Now I know what it must have been like when the Nazis marched into France. Four dark years of starvation and race politics, few jobs and and one party politics—The GOP is dead. Only wise leftists are left to rule as tyrants. They played it right. The MSM, Unions, Hollywood power brokers, and minorities will always win—Elections are done. From this point on—Why Vote? Only Democrats will ever win—No Republican will ever sleep in the White House from this point on.
