Romney waged a spirited, strong campaign. You're too blinded by faith in a mythology that Americans are naturally conservative and conservatism wins every time it's on the ballot.
Actually voters decided to give the first black president of the United States a second chance.
It's as simple as that.
I've had it with the silliness. Kooky Todd Akin LOST and yet I've seen Romney blamed. Mourdock lost because he learned nothing from Akin.
I've seen Romney's Mormonism blamed for God's wrath. I've seen Romney's "gay agenda" blamed when the gay agenda candidate won at the ballot box. There's no logic there.
I'll agree with you on a larger point, talk radio has lots its import. If this was the most important election since 1860 and we lost, what's that mean?
I don't think many electorates look back and wonder, "What if?" I doubt many wish AlGore was president on 9/11/01; they just "hate Bush." Do we wish McCain or Dole had an opportunity in the White House? NO. I think this may be a moment where some will wonder if Romney wasn't the right choice after all.
“Actually voters decided to give the first black president of the United States a second chance. “
No. They decided they like all the “Obama Money!” You can’t compete with free money.
