I voted today in a very highly Republican district. I know or at least have seen almost everyone in the small town I have lived in for the last 20 years.
A woman I never saw anywhere in town before voted just ahead of me.
When the ballot was halfway sucked into the scanner she seemed to DELIBERATELY yank on it, which tore it in half
The machine went into a malfunction state, and we had to place our ballots in the 'emergency bin'
There is no reason to touch your ballot once it is starting to feed into the machine
This disturbed me quite a bit.
The woman walked out casually as if it made no difference in the world, no apology, no anxious hand-wringing or excuses- just walked away without a word. She didnt seem to be concerned if her vote was cast, or if she could get another ballot... she just left.
Later I heard FOUR MORE scanners are malfunctioning in 4 more highly Republican areas.
Rats just trying a little ‘voter suppression’. Nothing to see here.
Yes. Voted at 8am and the voting machine was ‘broken’ and we were told to used the bin. I emailed the Republican leadership of my town and the issue was fixed by 9am. Very very odd.
In this day and age, and you really need your cell phone out and ready to take a picture when you see action like this, and be ready to follow it up with local authorities.
I hope you and the other four reported it to 855-444-6100 (from the Blaze)
Were you able to speak with the poll watchers or the election judge at your voting place?
My first thought based on your post is how in the heck did she get a ballot in the first place?
Breitbart News is asking citizen journalists - that means you - to report abnormalities such as this. I would encourge you to do so, my FRiend.
At our polling place in WV we weren’t permitted to bring any electronic devices inside.
Called that number and gave a report
A lady ahead of us marked three choices for each category.
I.E. she marked Obama, Romney, and a third party.
Did that across the board.
The machine didn’t “Logic off”, it simply rejected the ballot.
Don’t know what the deal with that was.
