The original settlers of New England were mainly from the area of England called East Anglia. They were mainly Puritans and were a different breed and had different ways from settlers from other areas of England.
I know! My family came over from Kent England in 1620 and settled in Scituate. We have many landmarks named after them in that area.

I’ve been reading it over the past couple of years, picking it up from time to time.It is so interesting, and explains a lot about why different areas of the country, even though folks mostly came from England, are so different from each other.
