George Will predicts 321-217 Romney landslide

Add Washington Post George Will to the landslide column along with Fox News Channels Dick Morris and the Washington Examiners Michael Barone.
On this weekends broadcast of This Week with George Stephanopoulos on ABC, Will revealed his prediction and added a bonus surprise by saying traditional Democratic state Minnesota would go for Romney as well.
I’m projecting Minnesota to go for Romney, Will said. Its the only state that’s voted democratic in nine consecutive elections, but this year, there’s marriage amendment on the ballot that will bring out the evangelicals and I think could make the difference.

Will is not someone to say something like this unless he has a good reason.
Funny how NONE are predicting a landslide for Zer0.
Not even close.
The polls coming out right now are garbage. They do not reflect what I’m seeing out here where “the rubber meets the road.” I live in one of the ‘RAT strongholds in Arizona. It doesn’t look good for Barry.
George Will frequently upsets conservatives by being too critical of Republican candidates and Republican campaigns.
It is not like Will to be a cheerleader.
this is VERY good news!
Reminds me of the 1980 election which was supposed to be so close.
Beltway Will jumps on the bandwagon after Barone and a few more went out ahead of him.
Will and Barone have stuck their necks out. If they don’t temper these predictions in the next day or so (”I’ve seen reports of increased Obama support ...”), it will be interesting to see if they are close. 321 EVs does seem to be pushing it, unless the polls are really off, including Rasmussen.
Reminds me of the talk about how people were shocked that Nixon won a landslide in 1972, because nobody ever said that they voted for him.
No, Will is not a cheerleader. He is very, very, very well connected, and he does not shoot from the hip.
Gallup's next poll should be interesting they had Romney up by 6 or 7% last Monday I think.
2012 is not 1972. The political landscape has changed far too much in the negative I’m afraid.
That`s a strong statement coming from a guy like George Will. I can`t remember him making a direct prediction this bold. He`s seen something that`s giving over a good indication Romney is indeed drawing the inside straight the pundits said he needed.
Nixon 72. The only time I can recall not voting for an R at the top of the ticket. My vote went to Spock as a protest vote, did not like Nixon.
Michael Barone called it 315 for Romney.
Will predicted Obama 378 McCain 160. Pretty close.

On Election Day, go VOTE the CRIMINALS out!!!
huge, simply on the basis of Mr. Will always cognizant of appearing above the political fray. He is by NO means a republican cheerleading hack.
I think Obama may steal Ohio but lose Pennsylvania, stunning the insiders. If we add Michigan or Minnesota, that’s gravy. But PA puts Romney back in the same scenario he had if he had won Ohio, assuming he also takes Florida and Virginia. Then he’ll just need one more swing state like Colorado, Iowa or Wisconsin to get to 270.
Yes, and he has been very negative about the GOP in recent months.
An notice everyone else on all the “Media” panels predict Obama is going to win. Going to be a bunch of red faces on Wed. One side or the other is WAY out of touch.
(Ive seen reports of increased Obama support ...)
Links please.

: )
My dad didn’t either, but he voted McGovern. Something he’s rather embarrassed to talk about.
You’re right about that. Will has, at times, appeared apologetic that he’s conservative.
If obama steals ohio, he deserves it.
There’s no excuse. Republicans own ohio from the state to the local/county level.
I suppose if the election would have been close (72) would have voted for Nixon. It was evident however, that there was something not right about Nixon. Got the same feeling from Gore (2000), Kerry (2004), and Obama.
What say Rasmussen (sic?)?
If a candidate wore a hat and a mustache like that, he would be a shoe-in
The main thing which is different now from 72 is the thing about the pigs all calling themselves demoKKKrats in recent years.
“He`s seen something that`s giving over a good indication Romney is indeed drawing the inside straight the pundits said he needed.”
The press gets pre-released poll numbers, like they get POTUS speeches ahead of time. My guess?
Also, I didn’t know MN had gay marriage issue on ballot. That is an interesting angle.
What about Nevada & Virginias?
There is no way Minnesota will go Romney, it is vast wasteland of single brain celled Union members (although they are quite a bit friendlier than the thugs in other states), bleeding hearts, LGBT weirdos and it will be the first state with Sharia law implemented as muzzies continue to flood the state. I lived there for 15 years and go back to visit my family, it’s just getting worse...Feel sorry for conservatives trapped in the state I would get out now...
From George’s lips to God’s ears.
I hope he is right. I cast my ballot for Romney yesterday.
I am less optimistic. I think this thing is going to be real close.
I agree. This feels a lot like 1980 to me also and I believe it will be. We will see.
Look for Gallup to be tied tomorrow or zero up by one.

you need to look again. Two years ago the Republicans took the State Senate. This year it is impossible to find a hussein yard sign. Romney could win Mn this time.
George Will takes great pride in being a pessimist. Ir he’s predicting a Romney win, it’s because he’s just returned from the future in a time machine.
From last election:
George Will, conservative columnist
Winner: Obama
Electoral College: Obama 378 McCain 160
Senate Seats: 57 Democrats 41 Republicans
House Seats: 254 Democrats 181 Republicans

Obama courted Ohio for four years, then put an enormous amount of his campaign funds and personal effort into Ohio this election season. He carpeted Ohio with advertisements slandering Romney to the point where every inch of ground gained now requires a herculean effort.
Romney has just side-stepped Ohio into Pennsylvania where no such effort has been made by Team Obama.
Political jiu-jitsu.
OK so what did George Steponallofus say after they picked him up off the floor?
I've wondered about that. BO has poured a huge amount of money, direct, union, etc, into Ohio. A lot of that money might have done better elsewhere. But I'm pretty sure that Mr "corpse-man" has never heard of a Phyrric Victory.
Actually, I think Eleanor Clift did.
I agree.
While I’m cautiously optimistic, I find myself nervously seeing an 0bama win or a Romney landslide.
Like sitting on a knifes edge where the tipping point may come from an unexpected place.
I hope that the 2010 Tea Party enthusiasm will make the difference.
The same state that voted for Al Franken?
I personally think he’d be a shoo-in....but that’s just me.
