When was the last time Obama hit 50% in Rasmussen or Gallup? That being said, I highly doubt that a hurricane which is almost exclusively affecting blue states one in which millions are still without power, food, gas, or basic sanitation will sway the election. That's liberal desperation. The electorate will determine this election, nothing more or less. I refuse to believe Democrats' desire to re-elect Omaba supercedes the rest of the nation's desire to defeat him; especially considering the horrific state of economy. You can lie to the public, pretend everything is OK, and even shamelessly manipulate the data, but you can't erase the fact millions have lost their jobs, their homes, and are struggling to survive. Win or lose, I like our chances. +1 Rep
The next time anyone starts getting nervous about this election just ask yourself the following question, “Would I rather be in 0bama’s position right now or Romney’s?” It like a rivalry football game, you only have to win by one.
Exactly. Romney is clearly in the better position and has eclipsed the 50% barrier on a number of occasions. He should win Florida, North Carolina, and Virginia...and most likely Colorado and Iowa. Romney is leading in Ohio, tied in Wisconsin and threating Pennsylvania. If Obama loses any of those three, the election is all but over IMO. Obama has presided over the worst economy since the Great Depression, he is mired in scandal - Fast and the Furious, Benghazi, Green Energy loans - he has raised the debt more than the first 40 presidents combined, and he has proven time and again he is driven by a deep-seeded hatred for America. It’s hard to imagine all of those failures being a nonfactor come Eleciton Day!
I know very, very few people who are supporting Obama, and even fewer who support hiim proudly. And I run across a lot of people from all walks of life. But that’s just me.
I'd also ask how the race would be covered if it were a Republican fighting for re-election and this storm hit. One could ask Bush 41, and Bush 43, about what kind of treatment they got, during the 1992 campaign and Katrina.
I have confidence that we still live in a special country, the country I think it is. Everyone has to keep working, hard. We can all do our little part. Let's roll!
