We called MREs “Meals Rejected by Ethiopia” when I was in. I wonder if they’ve improved any. That “Chicken a la King” was a mo....Are they really that bad, or did you just have one too many? A college buddy had a bunch of MRE's he bought from the PX that he shared with us (his roommates in an off-campus building). I have to say that they're remarkably edible for what they are.

As bad as some of them were, I preferred the old “C” rations. MREs were a step backwards, IMHO.
