A marathon brings in much revenue to the host city. Yes, the city does provide the police to block streets, but, it is my understanding that it is the cost that comes from the fees charged to run the marathon. It is not as if there are no other generators available in this world. Those generators should have been on NewYork and NewJersey's list of procurement the day after hurricane Sandy hit. Elected liberals screwed up the holding of the marathon after they waited days so the incoming tourist would come get taxed for what they bought, and then their rug got ripped from under them.
The city made money off the marathon, and then canceled it. One really had nothing to do with the other, except for maybe the numbers of police required to block off streets. Blomie got his cut and the peoples affected by hurricane Sandy got his shaft. It is how liberals do business.
How many generators could have been leased by the amount of money Obama spent in his fly-over. Probably enough to light up all of Staten Island and then some. Instead he abused the tax payers by seeking a photo-op for his own campaign.
Low sodium and no Big Gulps!
This is not surprising. Obama did demand revenge yesterday against Mitt. I do not remember if this was before or after Axelrod said Obama was speaking from his loins.
Are they really that bad, or did you just have one too many? A college buddy had a bunch of MRE's he bought from the PX that he shared with us (his roommates in an off-campus building). I have to say that they're remarkably edible for what they are.
Only those that have the MARK will eat.
FEMA probably had the time to stockpile a couple million rounds of bullets, but no water?
So these agencies that are supposed to help Americans in times of disaster are instead prepared to shoot them if they get too impatient, too thirty, too hungry?
As bad as some of them were, I preferred the old “C” rations. MREs were a step backwards, IMHO.
Chuckie Schumer was running around wearing a FEMA jacket yesterday.
Liberals can't do anything for themselves. Another example of why government is so large and intrusive.
Mmmmmmm, I think I’ll reconsider adding those to my preps. You’re not the first who’s had “un-nice” things to say about them.
Lefties always laughed at conservatives who prepared for emergencies. Let them eat their National Public Radio membership cards.
So there was no such order made as early as Obama’s love fest with Christie,
and the media is NOT screeming:
“why is FEMA acting just now; why not sooner???”,
and the reason they are not is they are part of Obama’s team.
I’m not wanting to minimize the situation, but the only New Yorkers that are actually starving are probably fashion models.
FEMA is more unorganized than it was wafter Katrina!
Their school buses were under water!
Hey, where are those libs who scorned and mocked Romney because he asked for food donations? What are they saying now?
Did they TIP the customary 15%?
Cheap bastards...

Wow they were right on top of this. Pissed away a week of lead time.
