Almost exclusively, the "October Surprise" is a tactic perpetuated by the dims. I believe there are two reasons why this was strangely skipped this time.

1. Romney is about as squeeky clean as it gets for a national pol. The small amount of dirt they probably had on him would have looked petty.

2. Sandy. Yeah the storm is a national disaster, but who would have predicted the love-orgy between the Pillsbury dough boy and the punk POTUS. Christy has done his best this week to sink Romney, probably for his own political future. What this bastard doesn't realize is the boomarang will come back with a fury 10X.
