The real War Against Women on campuses is the War Against Conservative Women.
It seems that the student editor of the University of Michigan Dearborns Michigan Journal has decided the young women of her state need to vote their lady parts and not their lady smarts.
This report comes just a week before the presidential election: Women who vote for Republicans and Mitt Romney are stupid bitches who support men who support rape, a campus newspaper editor opined.
In an op-ed published Tuesday by the Michigan Journal, the weekly student newspaper at the University of Michigan-Dearborn, Opinion Editor Kristen Golembiewskis piece, Ladies, if you vote Republican, you bitches can walk home, gives us a train-wreck view of how her brain works.
I just dont understand why any woman, regardless of race or social status, would vote for a candidate that has made misogynistic remarks on more than one occasion, did not support the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, is anti-choice, and made comments that alluded to the idea that women have to rush home after work to be with the kids and cook dinner.
That just tells me that these women, well, Im sorry to say it, but theyre stupid. Like, Sarah Palin stupid. Stop making women have babies they dont want and cant support because you have this misguided notion that a fetus is a person which by the way, IT IS NOT. Thats why the medical term for it is fetus, not baby.
Wanna talk about how a bunch of people Mitt allies himself with have made absolutely sickening comments on rape? Oh, yes, America, you see, when a woman gets pregnant after being sexually assaulted, well, thats just something God intended to happen, according to Indiana Senate candidate Richard Mourdock who Romney still stands by.
So ladies, if you do choose to vote for the Romney/Ryan ticket next week, Im sorry, but YOU CANT SIT WITH US. You know how beer commercials like to talk about taking away a dudes mancard because he ordered the wrong kind of beer or made some other choice that depicted him as feminine? Well, if you go red on November 6, Im hereby revoking your womancard. Thats right bitch, youre out of the club.
To pick apart this column piece by piece would honestly be a waste of time, and possibly lend credence to it. We dont argue with Golembiewskis right to voice her argument, we just wanted to offer this up as an excellent example of the left-wing idiocy that passes for thinking.
Note: The fact the articles comment section already contains a disclaimer and a note that the comments section has been turned off offers intriguing clues as to how well received this piece is.
Have they started wearing burkas at UM-Dearborn? The big Muslim cohort there can tell you what a real War on Women looks like.
(After reading the “rules for posting”)
So I can be hateful, rude and mean if I write for your paper but not if I’m reacting to something in it?
It’s another day in Obamaland. :)
Who knew? You mean to tell me that aggressive sluts are not professional and trustworthy????? This is shocking to all civilizations on earth. :)
She so perfectly depicts the ditzy, uninformed, foul mouthed, moral-less liberal woman.
Sadly this is becoming the norm. Young conservative women seem to be an endangered species these days.
Miss Ditz is an example of a retarded public education of indoctrination, the farm team for churning out at least one more generation of perfect Marxists.
We do nothing, and send our own kids off to these same camps, while wondering where the hell our country has gone.
When I went to school there, our nickname for the student newspaper was the “Michigan Urinal”.
The paper has come a long way since Saul Anuzis, former chairman of the Michigan Republican party, was the editor of the newspaper.
Dear Editor,
Apparently, Im a bitch. At least thats what Kristen Golembiewski seems to think, based on her recent screed posing as an editorial titled Ladies, if you vote Republican, you bitches can walk home.
As the Opinions editor of my colleges weekly newspaper, The Hillsdale Collegian, and a woman, I felt compelled to respond to my counterpart at the University of Michigan-Dearborns offensive and poorly written piece.
I hope I can help Golembiewski understand why some women choose to support Mitt Romney, as her very extensive research a Google search of Mitt Romney, women didnt bring much clarity.
If all women need to succeed is more birth control and abortion access, then that is a sad reduction of women to mere sexual objects. American women have incredible control over when they have children, more than any other group of women in human history. Even more appalling is Golembiewskis characterization of pregnancy, as if it is a horrible thing, like a type of cancer imposed upon women at random. Many of the very women Golembiewski seeks to defend would be disgusted at her calling their children unwanted.
I also dont support misguided fair pay legislation or hiring preferences based on gender. Its misogynistic to suggest the government has to do something to make women equal in the workplace. Quotas are demeaning. I dont want to get hired because Im a woman; I want to succeed because I am the best candidate. Golembiewski insults women by suggesting they cant compete based on their own merits (because theyre stuck with babies, or something). Stop whining for special treatment.
The Senate candidates in question gave poor answers that misrepresented Republican positions, and mine. Golembiewski has articulated her position quite clearly, and its repulsive. Go ahead and kick me out of the ignorant, identity politics club.
And I dont even have the space to address her total misreading of the movie Mean Girls.
Sincerely,
Katy Bachelder
