Pete Hoekstra recently took some heat for saying that he’d like to see the 17th amendment overturned. I personally think it would be a major step in the right direction.

The last time my dipwad Senator Bill Nelson (Rat-FL) visited our little town (5k) in north FL for a grip and grin, in 2010, I referred to Senators in general as three term congressmen, except they were far more pompous and dangerous due to six year terms. His eyes expressed for a split second a contempt I cannot describe.

The 17th was one of the progressive planks designed to corrupt a once free republic. It worked. Democracy and the administrative state are killing us.
