26000 “teachers”...400000 students. Wait a minute...that can't be correct! That's only 16 students per teacher. To hear any bum teacher tell it, they have classrooms full of 35+ unruly kids, they work until 3 am grading papers each night and they spend all their money on school supplies. Something isn't right here????? I believe these “teachers” are shiftless, lieing hobos.

When I was in school we had classrooms of at least 20 to 25 and still managed to get a decent education even in a (rural) public school. However, our teachers weren’t marxist ideologues in those days.

Another way to look at it: this means they can fire the 14,500 bad teachers at the bottom of the scale and give every class of 35 a GREAT teacher!
