You used to have to go south to Hanksville and cut across or go north almost to Provo.

It's a beautiful stretch of road.

Lived in Sandy for 4 years back in the late 80’s. Traveled that stretch of hwy a number of times both east and west. Always loved it. There was an exit a ways west of Green River (not the state highway) that was a ranch road going north. Went up to a small campground on the river some miles north. Also got into that area off hwy 191 (I think the number was)...
