while I am ok with the “multiverse” infinite possibility concept, I am not so sure on them existing all at once.

I would tend to believe once an action/choise/observation is made then THAT reality is the one that is selected.

For this reason I think time travel to go back in time to change events is impossible because they already happened.

If you went back in time to kill Hitler some how you failed because he was not killed in the past. You might be able to go back and OBSERVE things, but if you did anything in the past we already know you did.

If you went back and said “Hi, I am from the future” it made no impact that we are currently aware of.

I also have my own pet theory that time RATE changes with expansion of the universe and at the end of the expansion everything goes back in reverse- hell is knowing all the bad things you did and they were all coming back for you to do again. When time is running backwards, you see the past as your future

In the "many worlds" theory, the act would simply switch you to a world timeline where Hitler DID die, and people WOULD know about it.

Actually time rate has already been shown to change with velocity. Take two matched clocks put one in a plane and then fly around. After landing the two will show different times. The one flying around is slower than the one not on the plane.

As such you can assume (provided the big bang was an explosive expanding event) that the center of the universe has “aged” more than the outer reaches since it moved more slowly from the center and thus the time was faster than the arms which moved more quickly and the “clock” moved slower.

Personally I believe this and the bending of light from such great distances due to gravity lensing is the answer to why the calculations of universal mass require the addition of “dark matter” to make things balance out with the “increasing velocity” of the outer edges of the universe.
